故事發生在1990年全民皆股的年代，小男孩廖界（白潤音 飾）與父親廖泰來（劉冠廷 飾）相依為命，他們相信人性本善，沒發現世界正在改變。股市飆升、物價翻倍，有人一夜富，有人意識到現實殘酷；單純老實的廖界父子屬於後者。不料，他們碰上了聰明狡猾的「老狐狸」（陳慕義 飾） ，命運之路可能截然不同。財富與良心兩岔路，該怎麼選？
This family drama is about an 11-year-old boy who befriends his landlord, nicknamed Old Fox, and learns from him how to survive in a rapidly changing world as well as things his poor father would never be able to teach him. The boy faces a choice between poverty and wealth, between the values of honesty and deceit.
